Jon Bones Jones vs Daniel Cormier was set for UFC 178, but has been pushed back to January 2015 due to Jones suffering an injury.
According to TMZ, Jones suffered the leg injury during training, and now he will not be defending his light heavyweight belt in September, which is when UFC 178 takes place.
The two fighters will meet at UFC 182, which is the UFC's traditional year-end show that is held in Las Vegas, according to ESPN.
UFC 178 already has a new headline match, which will be Demetrious Johnson, the flyweight champion, defending the title against Chris Cariaso, according to NESN.
Meanwhile, Alexander Gustafsson believes he should fight Jones in January.
Gustafsson was originally scheduled to fight Jones in September, but he suffered a knee injury and Cormier took his place.
Gustafsson and Jones already fought last year at UFC 165 in Toronto, and a lot of people considered that fight the fight of the year. Jones ended up winning the match via unanimous decision, and Gustafsson went on to have another match, which he won. Shortly after winning the match it was announced that he would be getting another title shot at Jon Bones Jones.
