San Francisco 49ers Rumors: Best options in upcoming NFL Draft?

Jim Harbaugh wasn’t the most liked man, but he did make this team a winner and now they go in a different direction and several experts are predicting a last place finish in the NFC West in 2015, but with some solid moves this off season, including adding the right mix of youngsters from the draft, and the 49ers could surprise those experts next season.

Rumors have started that the front office is looking to move up in the first round and select Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper. This would give Colin Kaepernick as special weapon and possibly help take the load off the running game, but depending on what it would cost, this might not seem a good move for a franchise that needs help at several positions.

The loss of guard Mike Iupati is huge and with Alex Boone in the final year of his contract, finding help on the interior of then offensive line is a must. Walterfootball believes taking La’el Collins of LSU is the best move this organization can make in the first round, but if a quality veteran can be added before the NFL Draft, making that trade makes more sense.

Finding some help at linebacker is also a priority as Patrick Willis and Chris Borland have both left the team. Despite the need for help on offense, this team has won football games with a solid defense and finding some depth is likely. With the 46th overall selection, Denzel Perryman of Miami or Paul Dawson of TCU makes the most sense, but the front office hasn’t done the best job in recent years in acquiring the right mix of talent and that could haunt this franchise if the right moves aren’t made over the next few weeks.
