Review: Sam Kendricks makes outdoor pole vault debut with 5.81 meters (Includes first-hand account)

In his first outdoor appearance of 2017, Kendricks successfully cleared 5.81 meters in the pole vault competition, which is well over 19 feet. He ranked first place in Oxford, and this achievement is the second best outdoor performance in the world thus far (only second to Armand Duplantis who cleared 5.90 meters on April 1, 2017 in Austin, Texas at the Myers Stadium).

At the indoor championships in the United States, Kendricks won first place with a jump of 5.85 meters, as Digital Journal had reported.

Digital Journal chatted with Sam Kendricks about his American indoor pole vault championship win.
