On October 24, Olympic gold medalist swimmer Cody Miller celebrated the one-year anniversary of his YouTube channel as a vlogger.
With the help of modern technology, he was able to take his fans and viewers on his journey, giving them a behind-the-scenes look of his life a swimmer. In his YouTube vlogs, Miller opened up about his intense workout schedule, his diet, achievements, injuries, and the disappointments (and dealing with failures) that come with the sport.
His latest vlog is entitled "Swimming 1,300 miles," which is the number of miles that Miller swam the last year alone. "That was kind of crazy," he admitted in the video.
Miller recaps some of the highlights over the last year. His first video on YouTube was about the lifestyle of an Olympic swimmer, which was a success for Miller. Fans also got to know Miller as a huge movie buff.
He acknowledged that the following video was the toughest for him to make, but felt compelled to make it since it could help people that are going through hard times.
The Olympic champ admitted that cutting through one year's of footage for his recap video was time-consuming, but it was fun and gratifying for Miller. He revealed that he has more big plans for his YouTube channel in the near future for the second season of his vlog. "I am super excited to continue to make videos since I am constantly improving," he said, prior to noting that his ability to edit and to make a cohesive narrative story has improved substantially.
