Throughout her competitive career in sports, she made three Olympic teams and served as the team captain for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Beisel co-wrote this book with Beth Fehr. She underscores the values of perseverance and hard work and opens up as to how the difficult times (trials and tribulations) helped her along the way and shares some of the valuable lessons that she learned, which are food for thought.
Without giving too much away, this book by Beiseil is highly recommended for all, especially swimmers, athletes, and coachees. Her book features testimonials from such distinguished athletes as Rowdy Gaines, Katie Ledecky, and Caeleb Dressel.

The Verdict
Overall, Silver Lining by Elizabeth Beisel is inspirational and it will certainly touch readers and fans on an emotional level. There is something in it for everybody. She is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable in this narrative account. As a book, it can be read in two or three sittings. Silver Lining garners an A rating.
