Pacquiao takes chartered jet to Brisbane to face Horn on July 2

As early as last week, Pacquiao’s strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune said Pacquiao is already 90-95 percent ready for next Saturday’s fight.

A day before his departure, Pacquiao told Inquirer Sports’ Roy Luarca that he is already in fighting mode. “I’m already in fight mode. I’m focused,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao is taking a day off Sunday to rest and will resume training on Monday ahead of the weigh-in schedule a day before the fight.

The 38-year-old fighting senator did not say categorically that he will beat Horn by knockout. But he said he has prepared well for the fight and is 100 percent ready.

Pacquiao is favored to win over Horn but the unbeaten Australian challenger insist he will beat Pacquiao on fight night to become the new WBO welterweight champion.

Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs) is best known for his speed and power while Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs) is known for his punching power and great timing. But they are miles apart in terms of skill and ring experience. Read more:

Meanwhile, IBF World Super Flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas (26-1-1, 17 KOs) is putting his title on the line in the undercard of the Pacquiao-Horn fight.

Ancajas who is a southpaw will clash with Japanese challenger Teiro Kinoshita (25-1-1, 8 KOs), who is also a southpaw and a former title challenger.

Ancajas is fighting under Manny Pacquiao’s MP Promotions and is defending his title for the second time.
