Dr.Neal ElAttrache, who performed the surgery on Pacquiao a few days after the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, examined Pacquiao in his clinic and cleared him to fight on April 9.
The noted Los Angeles surgeon was reportedly pleased by the result of the operation.
Elated by the result, Pacquiao said he’s ready for his upcoming fight.
“Ready to go, ready to fight,” said Pacquiao, who is promoting his April 9 fight against Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz said Dr. ElAttrache “considers Pacquiao’s shoulder as good as new.”
“The doctor is very pleased with the way the shoulder has healed,” Koncz added.
Last year, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum has stated that he won’t arrange a fight for Pacquiao unless he gets back to Dr. ElAttrache for the needed MRI examinations and post surgery check up.
“He (Pacquiao)’s doing a million things right now. But I’m not going to make a fight for him until he sees (Dr. Neal) ElAttrache. ElAttrache said he won’t clear him until there’s an MRI,” Arum said.
Pacquiao along with Arum and trainer Freddie Roach have just completed the first leg of their promotional tour that took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles last Tuesday. The second leg has ended in New York over the weekend.
Pacquiao is scheduled to return to Manila immediately after the New York press conference.
