Three selected PBA teams will figure in the weekend basketball event which include Pacquiao-led Mahindra Enforcers, Alaska Aces and Barangay Genebra.

While in Dubai, Pacquiao will inaugurate the GO Sport Megastore in the Mall Of The Emirates in Dubai on Nov. 5. The store is reported to be the biggest of its kind in the world.

“The Filipino community make up a huge portion of our valued customer base, and by bringing their champion to them we are also bringing them a little bit of home. We look forward to seeing everyone’s faces light up as they meet Pacquiao on November 4 at the du Shop in Dubai Mall,” said Hala Badri, Executive Vice-President, Brand and Communication, du.

The two-day tournament is expected to be a blockbuster event for the selected PBA teams with UAE-based Filipino overseas workers as well as UAE basketball fans supporting their individual teams.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao has said he is still in talks with Mayweather for a possible rematch early next year, although his promoter Bob Arum says there isn’t any official negotiations going on as Mayweather had already retired from boxing.

“I don’t know yet who’s my opponent next but we’re still negotiating right now about the rematch with Floyd Mayweather so hoping for that,” he said in a live Video Chat on his Facebook page.

The weekend event is being organised by the Clique Events CO, the Official Overseas Game Organizer of the PBA in UAE, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, and dU as the main presenter.
