In the weigh-in ceremony attended by thousands of Pacquiao and Bradley fans Friday, Pacquiao hit the scale at 145.5 pounds while Bradley was one pound heavier at 146.6 pounds.
Pacquiao had no problem making the weight but Bradley was still struggling with six pounds excess weight less than a week before the fight.
More than a week before fight night, Bradley was walking in the vicinity of 160 and he had to do more workouts to catch up.
Bradley’s road works were reduced dramatically when new trainer Teddy Atlas took over from Bradley’s longtime trainer Joel Diaz.
Three days before the fight, MGM’s sports book show Pacquiao as the favorite to win at -230 while Bradley was the underdog at +180 which means a wager of $230 on Pacquiao will win $100 while a $100 wager on Bradley will make $180.
Pacquiao’s longtime trainer Freddie Roach is targeting a knockout win for Pacquiao to cap his 21-year boxing career while Bradley’s new trainer Teddy Atlas said he will be pleased with Bradley winning on points.
Pacquiao earlier stated that the Bradley fight could be his last.
