Two independent polls conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) and Pulse Asia have placed Pacquiao in the Top 6 in their latest Survey.
Pulse Asia conducted its survey from April 12 to 17 while SWS ran their own last April 18 to 20. In the Pulse Asia survey, Pacquiao was ranked 4-6 while in the SWS survey, the incumbent congressman from the lone district of Sarangani ranked solo at No. 3.
Below is the senatorial survey ranking showing Pacquiao inching his way up less than two weeks before the end of the campaign period.
1. Pulse Asia Survey – April 12 to 17, 2016
2. SWS Survey – April 18 to 20, 2016.
During the training for the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, Roach told Pacquiao he will get more votes if he wins impressively in their trilogy fight. Roach is hoping to see Pacquiao in the ring when he is elected president after serving as senator.
“I just told him the better he looks in this fight, the more votes he’ll get,” said Roach, “When I told him that he gave me a real big smile. That was a yes,” he added.
“My goal is to see President Pacquiao fight,” said Roach who like Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum wants to see Pacquiao being sworn in as Philippine president during his lifetime.
While the rankings could change leading up to the May 9 elections, it appears that Pacquiao, who has been consistent in survey rankings would make it to the Top 12 list of newly elected senators.
