article imageOddsmakers give the LA Lakers a slim success chance for season

By James Walker     Apr 16, 2014 in Sports
Los Angeles - The majority of bookies are giving the Los Angeles Lakers NBA basketball team poor odds to win the game season this year.
Expectations are generally low for the premier team despite an impressive win at the begining of the season. This was contradicted however by an equally impressive loss and this has led to the generally low odds being offered by bookies today for the team's success.
Some of the top betting reviews sites such as MyTopSportsBooks.com are offering odds of 40-1 for the team to win the NBA championship for the 2013-14 season whereas others, such as Pregame.com, are being even less generous and only offering 75-1 odds for the team to win 35 games.
Top player Kobe Bryant isn't even listed by MyTopSportsBooks.com as a favourite to win the NBA MVP award, perhaps as he is recovering from surgery on his Achilles tendon but Pregame.com offers odds of 3000-1 for him winning the award.
The team coach Mike D'Antoni is at least saved from the top three favourites of coaches to be fired by MyTopSportsBooks.com but generally the forecast is dreary for the team as rivals Miami Heat are tipped by both mentioned sites to win the championship for this season with odds of 2-1.
