Honolulu - During a vacation in Hawaii, President Obama and his family attended an Oregon State Beavers vs. Akron Zips basketball game.
The game was part of the Diamond Head Classic tournament.
Michelle Obama's brother, Craig Robinson, coaches Oregon State.
According to The AP, The Obamas were seated right behind the Oregon State bench. The President sat in between his wife and his longtime close friend Bobby Titcomb, who made international headlines a couple years ago when he was arrested in a prostitution sting operation.
The Obamas received a standing ovation upon walking into the arena at the University of Hawaii. Fans and press took photos and videos. Some fans were so enamored by the first family that they didn't even pay attention to the game.
President Obama high-fived fans both at halftime and after the game.
He is a basketball fan and recreational player.
Akron beat Oregon State 83-71.
In light of the First family's visit, security was much more intense for Sunday's game. Even the players and cheerleaders were screened upon entering the facility.
