article imageNY Knicks news and rumors: Moves that could improve franchise

By Larry Seely     Feb 16, 2014 in Sports
New York - The NY Knicks are struggling and not just on the basketball court, but with some changes over the next few months, this franchise could rebound and become a force in the NBA next season.
Several rumors have hit social media in recent weeks concerning Carmelo Anthony and what the front office should do with the All Star forward. While trading him now would guarantee something in return, he has stated in reports that taking a salary cut to stay in New York is possible and a move the front office must look into.
While much of the failures of this season has been placed on the players, The Latino Post has suggested a change at head coach could be a better move for the franchise. Jean-Paul Salamanca has listed a few names that could replace Mike Woodson and the name that jumps off the page is Jeff Van Gundy.
The former NY Knicks coach has led this team to the NBA Playoffs before and has the perfect temperament to lead a team under performing, but with plenty of talent. Fans and basketball experts are looking for player movement, but a change in philosophy and a coach that knows how to deal with players could make a bigger impact on the court and create some harmony off the court between the team and management.
One thing is clear, change is needed for this team to become a force in the Eastern Conference and whatever the front office decides, it must be decisive and get the fans on board or this franchise could be headed farther down the standing in 2014.
