ROSA KHUTOR, Russia (Reuters) - Norway beat Germany in a thrilling finish to win the men's Olympic Nordic Combined team event on Thursday, grabbing the gold by just 0.3 seconds.
Defending champions Austria were third.
Germany landed four solid jumps from the large hill to gain a seven-second lead going into the 4 x 5 cross-country relay.
The Austrians and Norwegians quickly caught up and the three teams were locked together for almost the entire race.
Norway's Joergen Graabak was leading when the trio entered the stadium for the final time and he just held off Fabian Riessle.
