article imageNHL Trade Rumors: Ryan Kesler to Pittsburgh Penguins?

By Larry Seely     Mar 2, 2014 in Sports
Pittsburgh - Vancouver is battling for a spot in the NHL Playoffs, but the Canucks apparently have troubles in the locker room and it could mean a move is coming before the upcoming trade deadline.
Veteran forward Ryan Kesler has reportedly asked for a trade as he has become unhappy with the situation north of the border, but his agent is denying the report.
If he does want out, rumors have already hit the Internet of Pittsburgh having interest in the 29-year-old. The Penguins are looking for some scoring help and add depth to their front line before the season ends and adding a player that can score 50+ points in a year is a great move for a team in the hunt to win a Stanley Cup.
The front office for the Canucks are now in a tight spot, especially if the former first round pick does want out. Getting equal value could be tough, but keeping Kesler could hurt the team off the ice and ruin their chances of making the NHL Playoffs.
One big trade has already occurred and several trade rumors have hit social media this past week, but this is one case of the player wanting a deal, not the team and that could have a major impact in the league if a trade does happen before the deadline.
