With most teams starting training camps in the coming week, 2015 is set to be a big year for the league and its players and while staying healthy and productive is essential, keeping off-field issues at bay is also a must or it could be the last time fans get to see a few of these former stars in action.
Percy Harvin is now with the Buffalo, his fourth team in his seven years in the league and after the distractions he caused with Minnesota and Seattle, his move to the Bills could be his last hurrah. Harvin has the speed and explosive moves to become a superstar and when on the field, he has shown some flashes of brilliance, but this season he must stay on the field and produce and also keep his off field comments to a whisper if he finally wants to reach his full potential.
Dwayne Bowe is also with a new team as the former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver finds himself in Cleveland. After a year with 60 receptions for over 750 yards, you would think the veteran would keep his spot in K.C., but with zero touchdown receptions, the team decided to start over and that left the veteran looking for a new home. The Browns also struggled in the passing game last season, but with Bowe and former Miami Dolphins wide out Brian Hartline now projected as starters, this could be the year the offense finally gives the defense some help and that could equate to more wins on the field.
Perhaps the biggest name with something to prove in the 2015 NFL season is quarterback Sam Bradford. The former first round pick of the St Louis Rams has become an injury waiting to happen and a trade to the Eagles could be his last shot at starting in the league. When healthy, he did have some solid numbers and now playing in a high powered offense could be just what the veteran signal caller needs to become a star in the league.
