During the preseason with Philadelphia, Tebow looked sharp at times, despite playing with the fourth team. His mechanics have improved and there’s little doubt about his leadership skills. With his ability to run the football, Chicago would have a duel-threat quarterback and someone that has actually played well in the playoffs.
The 28-year-old has accounted for 29 touchdowns in his brief NFL career and despite not playing a down in the league for the past two years, would bring a buzz to the Windy City and generate some good publicity for a franchise that has struggled to create any positive moves in recent history.
The Chicago Bears are going nowhere this season and with the current situation at quarterback, it couldn’t hurt to add a player the fans want. It might not win many games for the team this year, but it would fill seats and help with TV ratings and with a few game sunder his belt, who knows, he just might be the player this team needs to start winning football games.
