Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Robert Griffin top off season target?

The Philadelphia Eagles will have a new head coach and likely another starting quarterback with Sam Bradford in the last year of his deal. Depending on what direction this franchise decides to move, finding a new signal caller could be the first order of business.

Forbes has reported that the front office in Philly could look towards another first round pick to lead this team next season. Robert Griffin is done in Washington, especially now with Kirk Cousins playing well and leading the Redskins to the playoffs.

The former Baylor star hasn’t played this year, but a completion percentage over 63 percent and a touchdown to interception ratio of 40-23 and more than 1,400 rushing yards in his brief career and some team will give the young man another shot at playing football.

Mobility is key now in the NFL and having a signal caller that can move in and out of the pocket is essential and the 25-year-old has all the intangibles, including the legs to make the Eagles a more dynamic offense and possibly a playoff team next season.

There have also been reports of Dallas or Houston taking a look at the youngster. The Cowboys clearly need a backup that can lead an offense and the Texans just need anyone that can help win games and put fans in the seats.

A move back to Texas could be just what he needs at this point of his career, but the Eagles offer a starting job, which is rare and the opportunity to play against Washington twice a year could be the motivation Griffin needs to become the best player possible.
