NFL Rumors: Ndamukong Suh to Oakland Raiders?

Rumors have already hit social media, but a closer look at the money the former Nebraska star will command could limit the number of teams that have a realistic chance at signing the 28-year-old.

Gregg Rosenthal has compiled a list of potential landing spots and the Oakland Raiders’ are the number one choice. Not only do the Silver and Black have the most salary cap space of any team in the league, but they also are looking to upgrade their roster at several positions.

Adding a player like Suh could help in many ways. First, his style of play and demeanor on the field are a perfect fit in Oakland. General Manager Reggie McKenzie is on the hot seat to bring a winning season in northern California and that could be the biggest reason for signing the free agent. Lastly, adding a veteran with playoff experience would allow the front office and ownership to use the upcoming NFL Draft to fill other holes on the roster, possibly making this franchise one step closer to finally making an appearance in the playoffs.

Suh has already stated he will go where the money is, regardless of wins or losses. His agent is being trusted for getting the former first round pick the biggest deal for a defensive player in league history, but despite playing football for wealth, he will make whatever team signs him better and the Raiders’ are in desperation.

Reports have Detroit still looking to sign their stud defender, but after refusing to use their franchise tag on Suh, it appears he has played his last game for the team and they will need to look for help on the line through free agency or the draft next month.
