article imageNFL Rumors: Michael Vick headed to NY Jets?

By Larry Seely     Feb 4, 2014 in Sports
New York - The NY jets have gone all-in with quarterback Geno Smith, but the team still has depth issues with Mark Sanchez not showing the skill level needed to help this team win games.
While New York has several areas of need this off-season, finding a quality backup signal caller needs to be on their list and rumors from ESPN has the Jets possibly having interest in former Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick.
The 33-year-old had a solid season in 2013 before an injury ended his year. With all the experience he has on and off the field, Smith could have a veteran to lean on and help the youngster grow as a person and player.
The NY Jets also need to find play makers on offense to help in the young mans growth as a quarterback, but signing a veteran may be the best possible move the front office can make heading into the 2014 NFL season and Vick still has all the tools needed to help this team win if the youngster struggles or gets injured.
