NFL Rumors: Knowshon Moreno headed to Dallas Cowboys?

Most reports have ownership interested in Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson and while fans of the team would love to add the Texas resident, the team just doesn’t have the room under the salary cap to make a trade work, but there are some good options available in free agency and through the NFL Draft.

Damon Salvadore of the Latin Post has suggested former Miami Dolphins back Knowshon Moreno. After suffering a knee injury midway through last season, the veteran would come cheap and if healthy, providing the ‘Boys’ with a duel-threat weapon on offense.

Moreno had a spectacular year in 2013 with Denver, rushing for over 1,000 yards rushing and added 60 receptions, but his year in Miami was disappointing and a change of scenery is probably best for the 27-year-old.

Jerry Jones and his staff have done a good job finding talent in the NFL Draft and selecting a running back is likely. Walterfootball has Dallas taking Northern Iowa youngster David Johnson in the third round. With the recent arrest of Joesph Randle, Johnson could come in and take over the starting job and hopefully give the offense the boost it needs.

Several reports also have Jones and company looking at Georgia back Todd Gurley with their pick late in the first round. The former Bulldogs player is also coming off a serious injury, but his production in college is hard to ignore and if healthy, he could become the explosive option Romo needs to make the team a playoff contender once again in the 2015 football season.
