NFL Preview: Week four schedule and predictions

Week four is big for several franchises as teams try to get back into the playoff race or teams that already have momentum, keep trying to pick up those big wins. Here’s a closer look at the top games this weekend and a prediction picked solely on who is playing better at this moment.

Cincinnati has been one of the better squads over the last five years, but with just one win thus far, it’s a big week for the Bengals. They host a Miami team that has lost two close games to Seattle and New England and escaped Sunday with an overtime win over Cleveland. The game is being played on Thursday night, a good beginning to week four and with Cincy needing to show some life and playing before its home crowd, look for the Bengals to pull this one out. However, it won’t be easy as the Fins are also looking to build some momentum and get back to .500 with a victory.

Baltimore has become one of the best early season stories in the NFL. The Ravens are 3-0 and hosting Oakland, who is vastly improved and 2-1 coming into this contest. The silver and black will need to play better on the defensive side of the ball to continue the success they’ve built over the last year, but an east coast road trip is never easy, so look for the home side to win a tight battle.

Sunday night has perhaps the best game of the week with Pittsburgh hosting Kansas City. The Steelers will look to improve after an embarrassing loss to Philadelphia on Sunday. Ben Roethlisberger will need to be at his best against a solid Chiefs defense, but once again its tough to win on the road against good teams and having the home crowd at their backs should pull Pittsburgh over the line.
