The franchise moved to Los Angeles and seemed set on building a foundation for future success with the drafting of Cal quarterback Jarred Goff, but Case Keenum and the defense have had other ideas with the team winning the last three games, two against NFC West rivals Seattle and Arizona.
This week they host Buffalo, who is also off to a good start at 2-2, making this one of the better games on the schedule for week 5. Having 90,000 fans will help, but the defense will need another strong performance and with the travel involved, look for the Rams to win another tight game and start making believers out of the so called experts.
Atlanta is looking to move to 4-1 when they face the unbeaten Denver Broncos on Sunday. The high-flying Falcons have one of the top offenses in the game and Denver one of the best defenses, making this a battle of wills. The Broncos should have the advantage with a better than average offense themselves and playing in the Mile High city won’t hurt either. Look for a close contest, but the home side should prevail.
The Oakland Raiders have one of their biggest early season games in recent memory. With three wins, all on the road and climbing the NFL power rankings, the ‘silver and black’ are looking to take that next step and become playoff contenders. This weeks contest against the San Diego Chargers is big for both franchises, especially with the Bolts losing another close game this past week against New Orleans.
Oakland has the momentum, home field advantage, and the belief they can win any game. This has all the making of a trap game, but look for the Raiders to pull out another tight game and keep pace with Denver in the AFC West.
