Atlanta at Seattle was the showcase game of the week and it proved to be one of the best and most controversial contests on Sunday. The Seahawks rallied late, defeating the Falcons 26-24, but a no-call on a possible pass interference penalty in the games final minute cost Atlanta any chance it had to rally with a late field goal attempt.
Seattle’s victory improved the squad to 4-1 on the year and two games clear in the loss column over the LA Rams in the race for the NFC West title. After a slow start to the year, this football team now looks like a Super Bowl contender.
The biggest early season surprise in the NFL is Buffalo and after a slow start, the Bills are now playing terrific football. Sunday they had a big 45-16 home win over San Francisco, a victory that will have the fans talking playoffs and the experts wondering just how good this team could be when wide receiver Sammy Watkins returns from an injured foot.
