NFL News and Rumors: Reggie Bush to Buffalo Bills?

By Larry Seely     Jul 26, 2016 in Sports
Buffalo - Just when it seemed Buffalo was turning the corner on offense, running back Karlos Williams was suspended for the start of the 2016 NFL season and with little depth at running back, concerns have created plenty of speculation for the front office.
The good news is quarterback Tyrod Tyler and wide receiver Sammy Watkins are both expected to have big years. Couple that with running back LeSean McCoy ready to have a strong season and one could make an argument that this franchise is ready to battle New England for the top spot in the AFC East — especially with Tom Brady set to miss the first four games.
Rumors have already started on potential replacements for the second-year back out of Florida State and veteran Reggie Bush is the main target of these stories.
The 31-year-old hasn't done much over the last two years, playing just five games last year before a season ending knee injury, but the dual-threat weapon is set to play this season, despite showing no rush to sign as training camps get set to open next week.
After becoming the second overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, Bush made a splash with the Saints with his explosive speed and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, in fact, he has scored 18 of his 53 career touchdowns in the passing game.
Despite over 9,000 total yards from scrimmage and the ability to score from anywhere on the field, his lack of playing the last two years has to be questioned, but if healthy and ready to go, his ability to help the Bills is a big plus, especially with limited options available on the free agent market.
Reports have the former USC star waiting for the best possible option for the upcoming season and with Buffalo having limited depth outside of McCoy, he would be a great fit with the Bills, especially as a third down specialist, but if he's expecting a big money deal, that train has passed and Bush needs to realize that winning should now be his top priority.
