article imageNFL News and Rumors: Knowshon Moreno to Miami Dolphins?

By Larry Seely     Mar 20, 2014 in Sports
Miami - Miami had one of the worst running attacks in the NFL last year and are looking to upgrade the offensive line and running back positions this off-season.
The front office has already done a good job signing a two new starters to the line and adding some depth to the position, but now they must add another play maker to the offense.
Lamar Miller was the starter last season, but 44 yards per game and just two touchdowns won't get it done. Reports have the team bringing in former Denver Broncos back Knowshon Moreno for a look this weekend and if the team really wants to add some help for young quarterback Ryan Tannehill, signing the free agent is a step forward.
Moreno had over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns last year in Denver, but his pass catching skills and ability to run between tackles should excite Miami Dolphins management. With over 150 career receptions, this 26-year-old would add another dynamic piece to the offense and possibly the player needed to make the NFL Playoffs in 2014.
With all the off field issues this franchise had over the last few months, some good publicity is needed, adding a player like Moreno would create a buzz among the fans and give this team some confidence heading into training camp.
