Antonio Brown of Pittsburgh has become a beast with his combination of speed, quickness, and the fact he’s the top player at his position. The 28-year-old is a scoring machine and in many leagues will be the first overall player taken and with the Steelers number two receiver suspended, it could be an even bigger year for Brown and any owner lucky enough to nab the talented wide out in the opening round of their draft.
With the rule changes and the league becoming a passing game, finding quality players in the late rounds can play a big part in how owners perform. Here are a couple ‘sleepers’ that could have big years and help owners win a championship in 2016.
Kevin White missed his entire rookie season with an injury, but the Chicago Bears are expecting big things from the former West Virginia star and he will be an important part of their offense. White has terrific speed and will be a big-play wide receiver, making him a great choice in any type of league and a player that could burst into the top-25 at his position by seasons end.
Rookies are often not reliable, but there’s one youngster that could have a big year based on the NFL team he plays for. Corey Coleman was taken by the Cleveland Browns, who have limited depth at the position and need help. The speedy youngster could struggle to start the year, but he should have a large role in their offensive scheme.
Fantasy football owners should take a good look at the preseason games and watch for young players who perform well. Also check depth charts for each team as they are a good indicator of how players are doing when the cameras aren’t on. These players and tips should benefit any roster, but research is key and doing your homework is the best way to have any shot of winning a league title.
