Rookie wide receiver Stefon Diggs had a big week for the Minnesota Vikings with six receptions for over 100 yards and a touchdown. The youngster has played well for two straight weeks and is getting plenty of targets from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, making the fifth round pick from Maryland and excellent addition if available.
Rishard Matthews of the Miami Dolphins is another wide receiver that has been solid for two straight games. The four-year pro has nine catches for 160 yards and a score in that time and with Miami expected to use the pass next week against New England, Mathews is a terrific option for fantasy football owners looking for depth on their roster.
Several quality tight ends are on their bye next weekend and that could leave an empty roster spot. Detroit Lions Eric Ebron is finally getting some targets with the teams struggle to run the football and he responded with five catches for 89 yards and a score on Sunday against Minnesota, not bad numbers for a player available in most leagues and a solid option for anyone who needs help in week 8.
The hardest position to fill this late in the NFL season is running back, but Darren McFadden had a breakout game for the Dallas Cowboys with over 100 yards on the ground. The veteran running back could get the starting nod after his impressive performance and a great early week waiver wire add-on for owners needing points next week.
