article imageNBA Scores: Miami Heat top Bulls without LeBron James

By Larry Seely     Feb 23, 2014 in Sports
Miami - Miami took the court against Chicago on Sunday without Lebron James, but it didn't matter as NBA veterans Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade picked up the slack in leading the Heat to a 93-79 victory over the Bulls.
James sat out the game with a broken nose and no timetable has been set for his return, but that opened the door for Bosh, who scored a game high 28 points and add 10 rebounds. Wade also had a big afternoon, scoring 23 points, hauling down ten rebounds, and dishing out seven assists.
Another great story on Sunday was Greg Oden making his first start of the year and scoring five points and adding five rebounds in just 13 minutes of action.
Chicago is still in the running for a top four spot in the Eastern Conference, but the Bulls struggled from the floor, making just 29 of 81 shots in the game. Center Joakim Noah was the lone bright spot, scoring a team high 20 points and a game high 15 rebounds.
Miami is now 40-14 for the 2013-14 NBA season and just 1.5 games behind Indiana for the best record in the East. The Bulls dropped to 29-26 and still sitting in fourth place overall in the East, but with several teams right on their heels, they must find a more balanced offensive attack or risk playing the first round of the playoffs on the road.
