article imageNBA Scores: Lowry leads Raptors past Wizards 103-93

By Larry Seely     Feb 18, 2014 in Sports
Washington - Despite rumors of a possible trade, Kyle Lowry put all that aside and played another terrific basketball game, helping lead the Toronto Raptors past Washington 103-93 in NBA action on Tuesday night.
Lowry has been mentioned in several trade rumors over the last week, but the 27 year-old scored a game high 24 points and added ten assists in helping Toronto improve to 29-24 on the season.
DeMar DeRozan, Amir Johnson, and Greivis Vasquea all added 14 points as six Raptors scored in double figures to secure the win on the road. Toronto made up for a lack of rebounding, only 29 for the game, with some solid shooting as the team hit 42 of 74 shots from the floor.
Washington was looking to gain some ground on the third place team in the Eastern Conference, but the Wizards struggled form beyond the arc, making just four three point shots and converted just 13 of 21 free throws, dropping Washington to 25-28 and four games behind the raptors in a race for home court advantage in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
