Griffin finished the contest making 14 of 16 shots from the floor and adding six rebounds before fouling out in the final quarter. All five starters for Los Angeles made a significant contribution as the team won their
eighth straight game and moved within 2.5 games for the top spot in the Western Conference.
The Clippers played the game with two point guards in the starting lineup and it worked as Chris Paul scored 17 points and dished out 11 assists. Darren Collison scored 20 points on 8 of 12 made
shots from the floor, adding four assists and a couple steals to his final stat line.
Phoenix has hit a rough patch and are
playing their way out of the NBA Playoffs with just four victories in the last ten games played. All five starters did score in double figures, led by Goran Dragic with 23 points, but the team defense is lacking late in the year and the coaching staff must find a different approach for the Suns down the stretch or risk wasting a solid all around effort from the squad this season.
