article imageNBA Scores: Bulls hammer NY Knicks behind Noah's triple-double

By Larry Seely     Mar 2, 2014 in Sports
Chicago - The NY Knicks were expected to challenge for the best record in the Eastern Conference this season, but injuries and off court issues have resulted in a losing record and their downfall continued on Sunday with a 109-90 thumping by the Chicago Bulls.
Joakim Noah has played some great basketball of late and his triple-double helped lead the way over New York. The veteran center scored 13 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out 14 assists as Chicago improved to 33-26 for the 2013-14 NBA season.
All five starters scored in double figures for the Bulls, but D.J. Augustin came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 23 points. Jimmer Fredette also made his debut with the team and scored two points in just two minutes of action.
Carmelo Anthony was the leading scorer for the NY Knicks with 21 points and the only starer to score in double figures. The loss dropped New York to 21-39 and 6.5 games behind Atlanta for the eighth spot in the NBA Playoff race in the East.
