Lowry scored a playoff career high 36 points and added a team high six assists in the big win. DeMar DeRozan added 23 points and
young center Jonas Valanciunas added 16 as five Raptors scored in double figures.
Brooklyn scored 44 points in the final quarter and were led by Joe Johnson with 30 points, but the two veterans Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett provided little, scoring just 14 points and grabbing three rebounds
between them, leading to an early deficit and the eventual loss.
Game 6 of the series returns to Brooklyn Friday night and it will be a must-win situation for the Nets, but for this team to get even, Pierce, Garnett, and Deron Williams will need to provide a bigger contribution on both ends of the court.
Toronto has been one of the best stories in basketball this season and a win will advance the team into the second round and a likely showdown with Washington or Chicago.
