article imageNBA News and Rumors: Vince Carter headed back to Toronto Raptors?

By Larry Seely     May 5, 2014 in Sports
Toronto - The Toronto Raptors were one of the best stories of the 2013-14 NBA regular season, but a loss to Brooklyn in the first round of the playoffs now have the front office looking towards next season.
ESPN has reported that one move the team could make this summer is bringing back former All Star Vince Carter, who played his first six years in the league with the Canadian franchise.
Carter was also just booted out of the playoffs as he and his Dallas Mavericks lost in seven games to San Antonio, but the 37-year-old didn't leave without making some noise as he averaged over 12 points and three rebounds against the Spurs and showed he can still help a team, especially a young squad like Toronto.
Toronto entered this past NBA season without much expectations and despite a trade of Rudy Gay early in the year, this squad came together behind point guard Kyle Lowry and finished third in the Eastern Conference, leaving fans wanting more and with a good summer, one that could have Carter returning "home," the Raptors could be primed for bigger things in 2015.
