article imageNBA News and Rumors: Jimmer Fredette to Chicago Bulls?

By Larry Seely     Feb 27, 2014 in Sports
Chicago - The Sacramento Kings and shooting guard Jimmer Fredette are expected to reach an agreement today on the youngster's buyout from the team. NBA experts are now predicting where the former BYU star will land and it appears the Chicago Bulls top the list.
The Chicago Tribune reported the front office is looking to add another player to the roster, hoping to provide a spark as the playoffs get closer, but now that the trade deadline has past, free agent help is the only alternative.
Fredette is not the only player looking for a new home, Caron Butler and Danny Granger have also reached buyouts from their respective teams and now are searching for a new home, but these two veterans want to play for championship contenders and that hurts the Bulls' chances of signing either of these players.
The Chicago Bulls have struggled at shooting guard and could use another outside shooting threat, but the 25-year-old is not known for his defensive skills and despite good ball handling skills, has trouble creating his own shot, but for a team looking for some scoring off the bench, Fredette could be just the player the Bulls need to make a deeper run in the NBA Playoffs and a solid option to pair with Derrick Rose next season.
