Mark Cuban has tried his best to get some big names to play in Texas, but the outspoken owner has yet to get the talent necessary to win another title, but that could all change this summer with a solid group of free agents set to hit the open market.
One of the biggest names is Carmelo Anthony as the former New York Knicks All Star wants to play for a winner. The 29-year-old has been
linked most notably with Chicago, but Dallas could be the team to make the best offer and give the veteran forward his best shot at winning a championship.
ESPN has
reported that the two sides should have some conversation this summer and a meeting is highly likely, but Cuban will have to sell his team hard or risk missing out on another star player.
Another option could be LeBron James if he decides to opt-out of his contract with Miami, but for the Mavs to send Dirk Nowitzki into retirement with another NBA title, it will take a special player to make Dallas their new home and that could create a very interesting summer in 'Big D'.
