article imageMLB Trade Rumors: David Price to LA Dodgers?

By Larry Seely     May 4, 2014 in Sports
Los Angeles - The 2014 MLB season is just a month old, but a slow start by the LA Dodgers has created a buzz on social media. This team was expected to challenge for a World Series title, but now it looks like the Boys in Blue need some help if they want to contend.
Injuries have already played a big role in the slow start and for a team built on winning now, not many options are available, but ESPN baseball expert Peter Gammons has a suggested, make a move for David price of the Tampa Bay Rays.
Tampa Bay has had one of the best farm systems in baseball, but the well is drying up and help is needed for this smaller market team to compete in the AL East. Trading Price would land the Rays at least three good prospects and would help the franchise get back on track.
For Los Angeles, the money ownership has spent means nothing shot of a championship is acceptable and if that means trading away the future, so be it. The Dodgers are just 6-9 at home and could use another strong arm in the rotation.
Price has a proven track record and the big game experience any MLB team would want, especially down the stretch in a race for the post-season, but the LA Dodgers need to act now or risk losing him closer to the trade deadline to another club looking for pitching help.
