American professional swimmer Michael Andrew has a major reason to be proud. He has been nominated for two 2018 Golden Goggle Awards.
Andrew has been nominated for "Breakout Performer of the Year," along with Zach Harting, Austin Katz and Andrew Seliskar; moreover, Andrew scored a nomination for "Male Race of the Year" for his 50 meter freestyle race at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships, where he won the gold medal, and simultaneously set a new personal best of 21.46 seconds.
The Golden Goggle Awards are presented by the USA Swimming Foundation. They are a sports awards ceremony that honors athletic achievements in swimming (male, female, breakout, coach, perseverance and relay races) over the past year.
