article imageMiami Dolphins News and Rumors: Darren McFadden the answer at RB?

By Larry Seely     Mar 9, 2014 in Sports
Miami - The Miami Dolphins went into the 2013 NFL season hoping Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas could handle the running back duties for the departed Reggie Bush, but after a season where both backs failed to impress, could more help be on the way?
John Clayton of ESPN reported on the Finsiders that free agent Darren McFadden could help, despite his past injury problems. The 26-year-old has yet to play a full season in the league, but his speed, pass catching abilities out of the backfield, and experience make him a better option in South Beach.
The former first round pick has averaged over 4.2 yards per carry and that was with a mediocre offensive line in Oakland and while the Raiders could actually try and resign the former Arkansas star, he would be a better fit with a team that actually has some talent around him.
Miami looked like an NFL Playoffs team until two late season losses, but adding an explosive player like McFadden could only help, especially with a young quarterback running the team. This signing would come with risks, but his upside is huge and he does have something to prove and that could be all the motivation he needs to help lead the Dolphins rushing attack in 2014.
