TMZ Sports writes: “A rep for Mayweather tells us, ‘The watch is roughly $1.1 million. This is just one of his big purchases.’ We’re told the watch is a Hublot — covered in expensive diamonds.
We’re told Floyd has dropped more than $1.5 million during his 2-day spree at the Dubai Mall — and, shocker, everyone in the mall LOVES HIM!”
Mayweather is spending the week in Dubai along with his entourage of 24 persons flying in on his private jet from Rome. In his Twitter post, Mayweather said he is “Somewhere in the U.A.E. getting that Arab oil money.”
“Haven’t been to the UAE in awhile so I decided to come get the Royal Treatment and take 24 people to Dubai to hang out for a few days,” Mayweather said.
Mayweather has been investing heavily on personal luxury items including expensive cars and jewelries,.
Last October, Mayweather added a new luxury Bugatti sports car worth at least $3.5 million to his collection of luxury cars now worth more than $19 million.
Mayweather’s visit to Dubai has fueled fans’ anticipation that he is trying to get wealthy Arab financiers to bankroll the proposed Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch with Dubai as possible venue.
Earlier, Manny Pacquiao disclosed that his camp is still negotiating a rematch with Mayweather. Last Friday, his promoter Bob Arum told ESPN that Pacquiao has held in abeyance his scheduled announcement to name his next opponent for his penciled April 9 fight.
Both Arum and Pacquiao have not disclosed when the next announcement will be made.
