Laidback Luke wins six medals at Kung-Fu World Championship

These wins include three gold medals, as well as two silver medals and one bronze. This was an even bigger medal haul than his previous win in 2013, where he won four gold medals in the Kung-Fu competition, and he proves that he is very dedicated to the martial art.

This year, his team,Hong Ying Pro, earned a total of 20 gold medals, which included a record-breaking eight for Laidback Luke’s long-time teacher Sifu Mark.

Aside from his DJing and live shows, Laidback Luke has dominated his beloved Kung-Fu sport at this year’s World Championship in Hong Kong over the weekend, which took place from March 17 to 19.

A select group of fans that will be attending Miami Music Week in Miami, Florida, this week will have the chance to learn some of his martial art expertise by attending his special Kung-Fu Class at the W Hotel on March 23. They will be presented with the distinct opportunity to see the “master” at work in a different field.

It will be followed by his Mixmash Pool Party at Nikki Beach on the same day, prior to performing at the Ultra Music Festival on March 25.

Digital Journal chatted with Laidback Luke this past summer about his show at Marquee New York.
