Parker’s promoters announced that Price has made it onto a shortlist of opponents for the champion. Whoever the challenger is, they can expect to fight Parker on April 8.
Other names that have made it on the list include Jarrell Miller and Hughie Fury. However, Price is hoping to fight Parker after their proposed fight fell through earlier in the year. The two proposed fighting on the Anthony Joshua’s under-card.
Currently, Price is ranked No. 6 with the WBO. Fury is ranked No. 2 and Miller is ranked No. 4 with the WBO.
Price said his management team contacted him and asked if he would be interested in fighting Parker. He said he would love to.
Would love to fight @joeboxerparker in his first @WorldBoxingOrg title defence. Hope it can happen @BobArum @SauerlandBros @MGM_Marbella

Parker has already been challenged to a rematch by Andy Ruiz Jr. Earlier in the month, Parker defeated Ruiz for the vacant WBO title. However, Parker’s (22-0) promoters want the champion to show off his talents in the U.K., which is where Price fights out of.
Meanwhile, Price, who is 21-3, will have to continue to wait for a decision. If he gets the title shot, then he’ll be entering the fight with a good shot at winning, as 18 of his 21 winds have come by knockout.
