article imageGreen Bay Packers linebacker AJ Hawk tackles fan

Tahoe City - The start of the 2014 NFL season may be over a month away, but players and fans are already chomping at the bit to get underway.
Perhaps no NFL star is more ready for the September 4th kick-off than Green Bay Packer, and former Ohio State stand-out, A.J. Hawk.
The 6' 1", 235 pound linebacker started hitting drills a bit earlier than normal this pre-season when he decided to tackle an adoring fan at the American Century Championship Celeb Pro Am in Lake Tahoe this past weekend.
Rather than request an autograph, the unnamed fan asked the hulking Hawk if he would be so kind as to do him the honor of being tackled. With the aid of a little audience encouragement, Hawk humored the man by delivering a solid but not bone crushing hit.
To the relief of Packer fans everywhere — and Hawk's agent — the tank-top clad tackling dummy not only got back up quickly, but appeared to thoroughly enjoy the experience of being laid out on his backside.
Though clearly done with the best intentions, Hawk can expect both the NFL and the Packer front-office to politely ask that he refrain from indulging such a unique fan-request ever again.
