Brooklyn’s own Heather “The Heat” Hardy (12-0, 2 KO) vs. Noemi “La Rebelde” Bosques (8-2-2, 2 KO) had just spiced up the main card of the Khan-Algieri fight in a rugged featherweight action.
Heather “The Heat” Hardy prevailed over Bosques (8-3-2-2, KOs) to improve to 13-0, 2 KO with her split-decision win.
A single mom, Hardy, who first tried kickboxing after having her daughter, has amassed 13 wins without a single loss in women’s boxing.
In 2012 Hardy won the New York City Golden Featherweight title and got the “Best Female Boxer of the Tournament.”
Shortly thereafter, she decided to start her professional career in boxing, winning 13 straight fights with her latest bout against Bosques moments ago. More on Hardy here.
In another action fight in the undercard, Marcus Browne of Staten Island, New York, and Cornelius White added more excitement to the crowd but White performed badly against Browne despite the exposure he gained when he fought Sergey Kovalev recently.
Browne easily won the fight via a unanimous decision. Judges’ scorecards: 98-91, 98-92 and 99-91, all in favor of Browne.
The action continues with Javier Fortuna (27-0-1, 20 KO) vs. Bryan Vasquez (34-1, 18 KO) for the vacant WBA Junior Lightweight Championship coming up shortly.
