David Haye set for his second comeback fight on May 21

Haye has not named his next opponent but he said his next fight will take place on May 21 at the O2 Arena in London, England.

The 35-year-old heavyweight fighter from Bermondsey, London, was sidelined by a major shoulder injury in 2013 and remained inactive until his comeback fight against Mark de Mori last Jan. 16.

Before retiring in 2012, Haye (29-2-0, 27 KOs) scored a TKO win against Dereck Chisora following his loss to Wladimir Klitschko at the Imtech Arena, Hamburg, Germany in 2011.

Haye is aiming to challenge fellow Briton Tyson Fury for the multiple heavyweight titles he won from Wladimir Klitschko last November. But he said he will continue with his regular fights until he is back in top shape to reclaim his multiple heavyweight belts.

“I want to win back my belt and my whole goal is to be the heavyweight champion of the world again,” he told metro.co.uk in an interview last year.

Haye expressed his appreciation to his fans for having watched his return fight after more than three years of inactivity.

“After being out of the ring for so long it was incredible to be fighting in a capacity crowd at The O2 arena in front of my loyal fans. I’m thankful for all the support I’ve received so far,” Haye said.

One of Haye’s possible opponents for his May 21 fight is Anthony Joshua (15-0), who is the current WBC International & Commonwealth heavyweight champion.

The 26-year-old fighter from Watford, Hertfordshire, England has won all his 15 pro fights via knockout.
