Dallas - Another year and another missed opportunity for the Dallas Cowboys as they found a couple new ways to lose football games, but with the upcoming NFL draft and a couple free agent signings, 2014 could finally be the year this team puts it all together.
The defense is the biggest question heading into the off-season and finding more talent on that side of the ball is imperative, but this team has other needs that need to be addressed and her is the latest news and rumors on what players the front office could add to make this squad a contender next season.
Bleacher Report has suggested that finding some help on the offensive line is a priority and their latest mock has Dallas taking offensive guard Cyril Richardson of Baylor. This young man is massive at 6'5" and 340 pounds, but he also has some quickness and speed after playing tackle to start his college football career.
The defensive line could look much different next season with three players retired or possibly leaving through free agency. The team would be wise to resign Jason Hatcher, but finding some depth through the draft and free agency is a priority.
The latest mocks have Missouri defensive end Kony Ealy as a terrific option for the team. Owner Jerry Jones and his staff will need to make a decision on what area to address first in the 2014 NFL Draft, but these two youngsters are both proven college players and the type of rookies this team needs to get younger, faster, and stronger, something needed to make an impact in the NFC East next season.
