Crawford-Postol bout loaded with elite fighters in undercard

The Crawford-Postol light welterweight fight is set for July 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Both fighters are unbeaten in their pro careers with bettors favoring Crawford to win.

Both fighters have an identical number of wins at 28 each. Crawford defended his WBO light welterweight title against Hank Lundy last February via TKO at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Postol likewise defended his WBC light welterweight title for the first time after his KO win over Lucas Matthysse at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. last October.

The main supporting bout features unbeaten Gilberto Ramirez, who is Mexico’s first boxer to win the WBO super middleweight title in a classic fight against Arthur Abraham last April. He will face 28-year-old German challenger Dominik Britsch (35-2-1, 11 KOs) for his first title defense.

Another unbeaten fighter from Mexico, Oscar Valdez will face equally unbeaten Matias Rueda of Argentina for the vacant WBO World Featherweight title.

Also featured in the supporting bout is Jose Benavidez, who is unbeaten in 24 pro fights with 16 knockouts to his credit. He will face Francisco Santana of Santa Barbara, California, who is coming off two straight wins since his loss to Sadam Ali laast year,

Benavidez, who hails from Panorama City, California, will risk his unbeaten record and Top-10 world rating against Santana (24-4-1, 12 KOs), in a fight set for 10 rounds.

Top Rank’s July 23 card will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
