College Football Schedule: Week four preview of top-25 games

Fifth ranked Clemson hasn’t looked like a dominant squad, despite starting the year 3-0. The Tigers open ACC Conference play on Thursday night against the undefeated Georgia Tech and their spread option offense. This game is big for both programs, but Clemson needs it more with the hope of playing in the NCAA Football Playoffs in January and despite playing on the road, look for Deshaun Watson and company to come away with the victory.

Georgia figured to challenge for the SEC East title and despite a couple lackluster showings, the Bulldogs are 3-0 and ready to face Chad Kelly and the Ole’ Miss squad that just took Alabama to the brink of their first loss,. The Rebels are now 1-2 on the year and looking for something to hang onto. With the game at home and their season on the brink, look for another close game on Saturday with Mississippi salvaging the early part of the year with a win.

The Big Ten has one of the best games of the weekend with eleventh ranked Wisconsin hitting the road to face eighth ranked Michigan State. The Badgers defense has carries this squad through the first three games, but the offense will need a strong showing to pull an upset over the Spartans. This figures to be a hard fought battle and with two good teams, look for the home squad to pull this out in the last quarter.

Florida at Tennessee figures to be one of the best SEC East game of the year with the winner holding the advantage to play in the conference championship. The Gators offense has struggled against the better teams in the nation and will need to score points on Saturday, but look for the Vols, who have more experience and home field advantage to earn the victory and improve to 4-0 on the year.

Another terrific college football contest this weekend has SEC rivals Arkansas and Texas A&M set to battle. These are perhaps the two biggest surprises in NCAA Football this year with both teams ranked and without a loss. The Aggies have the better passing game and the Razorbacks like to use the run to control the clock. With a more explosive offense, look for A&M to pull this out, but it won’t be easy, especially if Arkansas can force a couple turnovers.
