At the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, that took place in Rio de Janeiro, Miller won the bronze medal in the Men’s 100 meter breaststroke, as well as the gold medal as part of the 4 x 100 meter medley for Team U.S.A.
Thanks to his vlogs on his YouTube channel, Miller is able to take his fans behind-the-scenes on what a grueling day is like for an Olympic swimmer, and all that hard work that he puts into his sport.
One of the most moving vlogs by Miller thus far is entitled “From Admiring Olympians to Becoming One,” where he opened up about how a young fan named Grant was inspired by Miller and his life story. Grant subsequently gave him a present in the form of a drawing, which in return, meant a lot to Miller. “This is really cool,” he admitted in the vlog. “I really, really love this. It wasn’t that long ago, or it doesn’t feel that long ago, when I was just like Grant. I was a little kid who loved swimming, and who worshiped and idolized Olympic swimmers.”
Being a huge movie buff, Miller is able to share his favorite movies of 2017. Did any of your favorites films make it on the Olympic swimmer’s list? There is only one way to find out.
