article imageChatting with Damien Sandow: WWE star and wrestling Champion Special

By Markos Papadatos     Aug 6, 2016 in Sports
Farmingdale - WWE Champion Damien Sandow sat down and chatted with me at a pizzeria in Farmingdale about his "Thank You" Tour, and future plans.
On appearing at Frankie's East Side Gourmet Pizza in Farmingdale, Sandow said, "Anytime I come to the Northeast, one of the big pluses is the pizza place here. I live in Kentucky and Papa John's is from Louisville, but the independent pizza stores up here are out of this world. I am pretty pumped to be here. The people are great and I am really looking forward to it."
A Massachusetts native, Sandow had nothing but kind remarks for fellow wrestling sensation Rage, who was also at the event at Frankie's, and he dubbed him as "awesome."
For Sandow, the key to longevity in the wrestling industry is "taking it one day at a time." "Living one day at a time. It's not that complicated. That's pretty much it," he said.
His plans for the future are to continue signing autographs and meeting new people. "This is part of the 'Thank You' Tour, and essentially, I'll see what the day brings," he said.
Sandow defined the word success as "being happy and content in where you are at in life, and where you are going, and the road you are on."
